Memphis Depay explains his goal celebration against Granada.

Last weekend, Memphis Depay, a Ghanaian-Dutch born footballer, scored a stunning goal against La Liga side Granada.

However, the highlight of the day was his goal celebration.

He performed the Kete dance, a traditional dance from Ghana known to the Ashantis, to celebrate his goal.

In a post-match interview, Depay revealed that his celebration was in honor of the Asantehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.

The Kete dance is a significant part of Ghanaian culture and is often performed on special occasions and celebrations.

Depay's goal and celebration showcased his connection to his Ghanaian heritage and his pride in representing his roots on the football field.
